Setting Up your Free Trac

You can activate an instance of Trac for each of your myVersionControl projects. You can use the control panel in myVersionControl to control user permissions and rights, and to set some user preferences.

How the page looks

To activate Trac for a project

1. Log in to your myVersionControl control panel.
   
2. Navigate to the Hooks and Resources page then click on the Trac link in the left hand navigation pane.
   
3. Ensure you have the correct Project selected. The selected project is displayed in the top left corner of the control panel, underneath the myVersionControl logo. If the wrong project is displayed, click on the Project Down Arrow and select the correct project prom the filter list..
   
4. To activate Trac for your project, click on the Activate Trac button.

Setting up security for Trac

By default all access to your new trac instance is disabled. This is a security feature. Enabling access is easy:

1. Choose your active project (see point 3 above)
   
2. Click on the Projects link in the navigation pane then click on Security.
   
3. Under the Security Settings heading, click on the Trac tab.
   
4. Select Add User or Group and add the individual users you want to grant access to. Alternatively, you can allow anonymous access by checking the Permit Anonymous Read Access tick box on the Security Settings panel.
