Managing Email Notifications

You can set myVersionControl to send an email whenever a user or member of a group commits to one of your repositories.

How the page looks

  1. The active project is shown in the top left of the screen. Click on the down arrow to change the project you are setting email notifications for.
  2. You can Disable or Enable email notifications for your active project. Disabling email notifications will save the current settings for your active project until you re-enable them.
  3. Use the drop down select box to choose a user or group to add to the Active Rules List.
  4. Click on Add Rule to add the selected user or group to the Active Rules List.
  5. Active rules for the active project are listed here. To remove an active rule, hover your mouse over the rule. A Delete button appears. Click on the delete button.

Enabling Email Notifications for a Project

By default all Email Notifications are set to disabled for each project. To activate, follow the steps below:

  1. Choose your active project (see label 1 above)
  2. Click on the Activate Email Notifications button (1).

  3. Email notifications are now active for the active project.

Remove a User or Group from the Active Email Rules List

  1. Hover your mouse pointer over the user you want to remove from the Active Rules list. A Remove button appears.
  2. Click on the Remove button.
  3. The user is removed from the Active Email Rules List.
