RA Layer Request failed
Hi,
I am using Eclipse 3.5 together with subclipse 1.6 on Windows Vista. However, when I try to include a new repository into the SVN repositories list I got an error message saying "RA layer request failed".
Anyone aware of this problem? I would really appreciate it.
Best Regards,
Hung

The problem seems to be solved when I use https instead of http. Apparently the firewall block the http content somewhere which it cannot then being encrypted with https. Can someone explain it to me?

Hi, You need to explicitly switch encryption off to enable http access. The
default is https.

The problem is that when you copy the Repository URL from the Project/Details screen, it doesn't have https://, it has http://. When we paste this into our client program, we get the OPTIONS .... OK... error.
You should make sure this is set to https:// by default, since that is the default on your end. This would save us users a lot of trouble and would cut down on all these problem discussions.

Hi Brian,
Yes this would be a useful change. I've added that to our backlog, it should go in with our next update which will be later this month.
Many thanks
George
